The Virgin Mary, chosen to be the Mother of God, conceived Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit without knowing man. An angel told her this during the Annunciation. She humbly accepted God's will, becoming the vessel of the Incarnation. She gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem. Later, she witnessed His crucifixion and resurrection. After the Ascension, she remained with the Apostles, praying and awaiting the Holy Spirit.
