Looking at the way the establishment made a case that Ross Ulbricht (#FreeRoss) was the one who ordered a hit on what's his name, in a completely staged event, got me thinking. Dread Pirate Roberts could be passed around to different people. Similarly, my identity, my nsec, if compromised, could be used in an attempt to defame me (more than I already defame myself) or for other social engineering purposes if ever compromised. I was less careful with it than I am currently early on in nostr. Thus, secondary nostr identities actually become an excellent backup to help others falsify or at least raise suspicion as to the integrity of a compromised nsec. Social verification and other methods are also very useful as I have seen employed.
