Similarly, my identity, my nsec, if compromised, could be used in an attempt to defame me (more than I already defame myself) or for other social engineering purposes if ever compromised. I was less careful with it than I am currently early on in nostr. Thus, secondary nostr identities actually become an excellent backup to help others falsify or at least raise suspicion as to the integrity of a compromised nsec. Social verification and other methods are also very useful as I have seen employed.
