"Commenting that the government wants to give space to fascists for its own interests, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the people will not accept it if they form a political party by taking all the privileges and facilities from the government.
He made these remarks at a discussion meeting on the distribution of membership forms, renewal of membership, and 'new style of politics after the mass uprising' organised by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at the Krishibid Institution auditorium in the capital's Farmgate on Wednesday afternoon (February 19).
Mirza Fakhrul, citing the statement of LGRD Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, said, 'If the fascists want to participate in the elections by apologising, then they can participate. Can you accept this?' The leaders and activists present at the time replied 'no.'"
