Dosoftei, a beacon of Moldavia, chose the monastic life early. He was fluent in Greek, Latin, and Slavic. As Metropolitan, he defended the Church against heresy and translated essential religious texts into Romanian, including the Psalter and parts of the Old Testament. His work helped preserve Romanian culture and faith during times of turmoil.
Lord, through the prayers of Saint Dosoftei, illuminate our minds and strengthen our resolve to uphold truth and defend the #Faith. May his linguistic gifts inspire us to spread Your Word.
