In Durostorum, Emilian, a brave young man, shattered pagan idols during a festival. Arrested and brought before the judge, he confessed his faith in Christ. Despite threats and torture, he refused to renounce his belief. Emilian was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames consumed him, he praised God, and his face shone with divine light.
