I got given dry-erase #DnD battle maps for Christmas, and a couple weeks ago, we played with them for the first time. This was the first time playing in-person with an actual combat grid.
I have to say, it enhanced our experience no end! When combat started, I quickly sketched out the map using whiteboard markers, and we used various boardgame tokens to represent the players and the enemies. I highly recommend it! It completely changed the tone and feel and flavour of the combat, and (in our experience) made it much more interactive. #TTRPG
