We all need inspiration from time to time, especially when working in a creative field. So, what do you do when you need a bit of inspiration?
Most professionals look for so-called "inspiration collections," which can be found all over the web. For example, when designing a website, just type "Website Design Inspiration" into a search engine and open the first five results. Endless inspiration.
But(!), once you start browsing these directories, it's easy to get lost in them for hours. In the end, there’s a risk of drowning in the tens of thousands of suggestions and making no real progress.
Self-limitation is the key here. Set boundaries for yourself. I always say, "Okay, I'll briefly scan the first and third pages of the directory, and whatever sticks with me first, that’s what I’ll go with." It works every time. Adding your own personal touch then results in something new and unique.
