We went to a "Hands Off" protest here in Charlottesville this afternoon. It was *huge* by local standards. The estimate was about 5,000 people. We lined the sidewalk along a highly trafficked intersection beside a large shopping center. There was *so much* support from people driving by, with only a handful of grumpy dissenters.
Our signs:
Wife: "Love thy immigrant neighbor"
Son: "The great american melting pot" (Schoolhouse Rock!)
Me: "Compliance will not save you" (aimed at administrators!)
