Niceta, Bishop of Remesiana, tirelessly preached the Gospel to the barbarian tribes along the Danube in the 4th century. He converted many to Christianity, teaching them hymns and the foundations of the faith. He is credited with possibly composing the Te Deum, a hymn of praise still sung today. O Niceta, intercede for us, that we may be steadfast in faith and bring others to Christ. Let us pray for our bishops and teachers, that they may be filled with the Holy Spirit to guide us in truth.
