These white-coloured Japanese Quail have the Panda phenotype. 🐼

Panda is a fun gene because it recessive, which means the children can look like this even when neither parent does. They are essentially magical yellow beans when they hatch.
The phenotype is characterised by predominantly white plumage with blotches of base colour. These blotches are usually on the head, neck, and lower back.
The bird in the first image has Pharoah/Wild-Type blotches, whereas the hen in the bottom right of the second image has Extended Brown blotches.
I think the Panda is a rather lovely phenotype and I am glad to have a few.
