Mattermost seems like an interesting option, and if you were open to welcoming more members that would be very interesting. I have a few questions, but feel free to answer in DM or not at all:
Do you have a limit on how many people can join?
Do you have conditions on who can join (like, do they have to be academics or it doesn't matter)?
Do you mind if I mention your platform in the NeuroMethods slack so people could give it a try?
Where is the data stored and who has access to it?
How is the data backed up (say, if the server crashes)?
do you have limits on number of messages or size of attachments? (We don't usually have attachments but I'm just curious)
is this free for your users? If so, are you planning to charge users for it at some point in future?
