It’s a culture war issue that’s why he’s doing this. It has nothing to do with “what’s best”. That said, it matters because it makes for predatory people to use the trans label to more easily enter sensitive spaces. This has happened a number of times in the UK. A man identifying as female wanted to be brought to a female prison. They allowed it and he ended up preying upon the inmates. It can and will be abused by BAD ACTORS, NOT trans people. Real trans people are people. Bad actors and bad actors.
