The primary function of sex is procreation.
Now of course, you can have recreational sex without intending to procreate but generally speaking, people who generally seek pleasure from sexual activities tend to increase their likelihood of pregnancy.
The pleasure from sex is the reward mechanism for procreation.
I know muh adults.
Some people have sex for fun, and some have the most rigorous planning to optimize pregnancy, and has difficulties in creating offspring due to fertility issues.
That all being said Sex is a tool, it's most optimal when used as intended.
Sex can aptly be described as trying to use a tire for your car, or for a swing, etc.
Like sure, you can use it however you want but it is more effectively utilized when used the way that is most optimal.
