St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, followed Christ and brought Peter to Him. A fisherman turned apostle, he preached across many lands, from the shores of the Black Sea to Greece. In Patras, he was crucified on an X-shaped cross, now known as St. Andrew's Cross, for refusing to renounce Christ. He continued to preach even from the cross, converting many until his death.
St. Andrew, pray that we may be bold in our faith and spread the Gospel to all!
