Chant rises, ancient, slow,
My #soul remembers what to know.
My children stir, in drowsy grace,
A holy smile on each small face.
Byzantine echoes, fill the air,
Washing away a father's care.
Each note a tear, each phrase a prayer,
For little ones, beyond compare.
Icons gleam, in candle glow,
Of saints who walked this earth below.
The Theotokos, watches near,
Whispering love, dispelling fear.
My heart, a vessel, filled with praise,
Through chanted hymns, in countless ways.
This timeless truth, I leave behind,
A heritage for heart and mind.
