More on the process of cutting those finishing pieces (american black walnut veneered wood with acoustic felt backing).
I used two clamps to clamp down a straight piece of wood against the stuff that I want to cut to size. The blueish straight piece of wood is a guide rail which makes cutting in a straight line much easier because I will be cutting the material with a fine tooth hand saw. Between the guide rail and the finishing material is some tissue to protect the nice wood. I used a fine tooth saw because these are finishing pieces that need to be cut cleanly and not look jagged. The guide rail is used to ensure I cut it straight, after all, it is the finishing pieces so it's gotta look greeeeeat.
After some time I got all the pieces cut, around 20 different pieces of various sizes depending on how they would be attached to the unit.
