Physical gold can be a scam too.
In most cases you can only verify it's value weeks after purchase. And if if fails to pass the test recourse is too late in most cases.
Make peace with your sub standard crappy purchase I suppose.
Bitcoin does not have this problem.
It's verified while the TX is lying in the mempool.
It's verified when the TX is confirmed.
The UTXO is auto verified every ten minutes until you spend it and then it's verified again.
No trust needed.
