2025-04-10 13:58:32Hackathon Summary
The virtual version of the Flare x Google Verifiable AI Hackathon was held from March 7 to March 14, 2025, in partnership with Google Cloud. The event registered 358 developers and resulted in the creation of 46 approved projects, also known as BUIDLs. Participants were tasked with creating innovative verifiable autonomous AI applications across four categories: Social AI Agent, RAG Knowledge, AI x DeFi (DeFAI), and Consensus Learning. The hackathon leveraged Google Cloud's Confidential Computing alongside Flare’s oracles. A total prize pool of $40,000 was allocated for the event, emphasizing its importance in advancing AI and blockchain technology convergence.
Flare, recognized for its support of data-intensive applications, partnered with Google Cloud to offer mentorship and workshops, which were accessible through both live and recorded formats. The judging panel included notable representatives from Flare and Google Cloud, such as Flare Co-Founder Hugo Philion and Google Cloud’s Ross Nicoll. Collaborations with institutions like Berkeley and DoraHacks highlight the event's role in enhancing blockchain applications by integrating AI, thereby encouraging the development of innovative decentralized applications.
