Normies normies normies.
I hear your issue that we don't want to alienate ppl from the getgo.
However...
The problem with the emphasis on normies is that they will never switch to nostr for these features, and everything has serious opportunity cost.
Apealing to the demands of the crowd in the middle of the bell-curve will never help us cross the chasm.
I say focus on the things that matter for the crazy people for now. We are early and it's the neophiliac audience you want to address to survive.
How much until the normies demand another feature some nostr app lacks now, and then it should not just do the same but look the same and be the same as the centralized shit.
And then you realize you don't have tens of billions of dollars to create the same thing, which still would lack a lot of things and the normies are long gone.
But the ppl who loved and joined nostr for what it really is and truly get it, what did you do for them in the meantime?
Recipe for death in my book.
Create the UX and give them the freedom they cannot have elsewhere. And stabilize until you get a usable app.
That's my cookbook.
