⚡️🇺🇸🇫🇷 NEWS - X/Twitter has lost 2.7 million French users in 5 months, dropping below the 15 million mark.
In December 2024, there were still 17.4 million users; now there are less than 15 million, lower than the 16 million present at the time of Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter (now X). A drop of 10.5% compared with October 2024.
🇪🇺 Less than 100 million European users: More generally, it's the European audience that has decided to cut ties with the platform, the base now being 94.8 million monthly active users, compared with over 100 million in 2022.
France is not the only European country to have said farewell on a massive scale, with Germany seeing the departure of 1.5 million people, Poland 2 million and Spain 1 million.
The main cause: controversy and a toxic atmosphere on the network.
