EGO 700W Turbo Charger actually has two fans inside - one for the charger itself and one for the battery
the battery fan pulls the air THROUGH the pack !

i ordered a slower charger myself that doesn't have this 2nd battery fan, and the mower itself also doesn't have a fan to cool the battery, and the knock off batteries don't have any vents in them but it still warms my heart that somebody at EGO tried to do something right even though it's a Chinese company ( that charges American prices )
maybe 10 years from now this innovation will trickle down into more products ...
Nissan Leaf was the first major EV on the market and it didn't have liquid battery cooling. Teslas had liquid cooling but didn't heave heat pumps. Today most premium EVs have both. Sadly such improvements only come after the customers demand them and the demand only comes from the frustration with 1st generation products.
our job is to reward the manufacturers that go an extra step in the right direction versus the competition and to spread the word.
i can't necessarily recommend EGO though because i hear their warranty support is poor. not quite as bad as you would expect from a Chinese company but also not on the level of a company charging western prices.
the most recommended mower company here in us is TORO but it's definitely a legacy company. their gas mowers are good but their electric mowers are simply the gas models with the engine swapped for a motor. they are quite poor in that for example they still use a belt to drive the wheels whereas EGO has a separate motor for the wheels and no belts. their electric models are also not as powerful as EGO.
the choice in US comes down to gas Toro vs electric EGO. electric Toro are not really competitive much like early EVs from legacy automakers.
EGO to lawn mowers is what Tesla was to EVs five years ago - ahead of the competition but with shit service. It will take some time before there are really good electric lawn mower options on the market and as for cars EVs will not surpass hybrids until some major breakthroughs in battery tech that allows batteries to be charged in under 5 minutes.
