This composition of mine called "Itaparica" reflects the dark atmosphere of the island of Itaparica in Brazil during the Covid pandemic. An island built for tourism was basically shut down from one day to the other, people had nothing to sustain their most basic necessities. Together with my wife we went there (although it was forbidden) and had a great time at what literally appeared to be Shutter Island 😁
It combines flowy samba grooves with a dark, rock rhythm part! 💜
