Fears that a raft of amendments to Labour's Employment Rights Bill would gut it and water down its protections for workers, following extensive business lobbying, seem to have been miss-placed.
Is this a turning point in Labour's perceived post-election ordination?
There's a long way to go but for now workers might be more optimistic that they/we will see some improvements to the conditions of employment.
