The Hackathon@WEF 2025 was held from January 21-23, 2025, in Davos, Switzerland. The event attracted 23 registered developers and resulted in seven projects receiving approval. The primary goal of the hackathon was to tackle global challenges through AI, data science, and advanced technologies.
Participants worked in teams, both at Lab42 and the Innovation Center Davos, as well as virtually. The focus was on creating impactful solutions with potential real-world applications. To support skill development, the event provided guidance from industry experts and insights into technological trends that could inform future projects.
A key aspect of the hackathon was the networking opportunities provided by the DIGITAL LOUNGE@WEF. This platform connected developers with CEOs, government officials, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. Participants could showcase their projects to a distinguished audience, increasing visibility and paving the way for potential career advancements.
The scenic setting of the Swiss Alps enhanced the hackathon experience, which included free accommodation, meals, and conference materials. Participants contended for a prize pool exceeding 10,000 CHF, aimed at sustaining further innovation efforts. Additionally, the Innovation Centre Davos supported a collaborative environment, fostering global innovation.
