Only problem I see here is 100K won't be enough in 10 years...much less 20.
I was running these exact kinda numbers the other night.
I was using MC simulation to deal with volatility and smooth outcomes... in all cases, of course, the longer you waited to start drawing income the better...
Also results were better when only taking out enough each month to live instead of lump sum for year.
Even better results were obtained if you strategically sold larger portions early if there were massive price spikes. Better results meaning volatility didn't wipe your out early...
Having other assets greatly increases your chance of success as well.
Oh and bonus..married filling jointly in the USA means you can withdraw 96K a year with no taxes
