mathmaticians abstracted too much away from the root of math. they don't realize the steps of the computation they do.
they can't differentiate between what is complete result and what is formatted print of the on going, incomplete computation.
they use short hands on abstractions so much that they don't realize that it's not the core of the computation.
so when they get invalid results, they can't decide if its correct or not.
they can't even group incomplete computations right.
they are just lost.
