kids would play with them
you could hold the leg bone, pull a ligament, and the foot would move.
In the 1950s in Southwest Texas, variety stores and gas stations often SOLD actual rabbits feet key chains. Just the foot plus a metal cap (no ligaments, etc). Mostly made in Mexico. Many dyed bright colors.
