Russia has launched a major ballistic missile and drone assault on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, likely one of the largest attacks since the full-scale invasion began in 2022. Ukrainian air defenses and fighter jets reportedly shot down hundreds of drones, but several missiles struck the city, damaging multiple high-rise residential buildings.
