Aye. Unless you grant near unrestricted permissions most Nostr clients are a pain, even with Amber. I gave up using DMs with anything but 0xChat.
I was just using the signer to test nostr.land follow list / backup service. I mostly stay away from clients that don’t allow me to use a QR Code or at least allows me to paste a bunker URL. Honestly, NIP-46 should be the standard everywhere. Even the vibecoded stuff have no excuses as current libraries / SDKs have good support for it. I'll use the NIP-7 signer maybe once every blue moon. I have even disabled it already as it needs access to all URLs (nothing malicious, but extensions are such an easy vector of attack that I rather only enabled it when I need it).
