I was extremely skeptical about Trump when elected, other than the shilled promise of Bitcoin support.
However, so far, as an external observer, not directly involved or affected by the events unfolding, I am mostly impressed with what I see.
Two things.
1. As far as I am aware, he wasn't like this during his first term. I believe from seeing some background reports, his first term was dominated by established advisors attempting to keep him on the default narrative and prevent him disrupting anything. He, for the most part, followed that path.
This second term, he has had time to realise this missed opportunity and legacy of his first term and decided not to listen to the establishment and find his own path.
2. As a businessman, I see a much more business like approach to the business of running a country. My natural prejudices make me amenable to this approach. I very much see him acting as CEO of U.S.A. Inc.
So far, I gel with his approach.
Wether this approach has long term results in the world of politics, we have yet to see. It is disruptive and their is always a risk with disruption. I think it's a risk worth taking.
