Played some of Dark Cloud with the Enhanced mod a couple days ago and definitely like the QoL facets. Pressing the otherwise-unused Up/Down on the D-pad to flip through selected active element type for the equipped weapon is way nicer than opening the menu to drill down to it.
Increased monster draw distance means no huge rooms where you don't see a monster at the opposite end.
Toggle for the battle music means the dungeon music can keep playing instead of the very meh battle music that's the same regardless of dungeon. (Contrast to Dark Chronicle's much better battle music.)
Weapon rebalancing makes them feel better from the moment they're obtained, usually it's slight durability, speed, elemental, or monster-buster stat increases to better match the description or image, like the crysknife being updated to favor "Holy" element with a couple base points in "Undead" buster.
Very cool mod! And easy access to debug menus for spawning items may be a bit cheating, but it also can speed up a run drastically through efforts like creating water or bread items to replace the repeated dungeon exiting to get more early on, allowing for clearing more floors at a time without exiting, crucial IMO in a game that has as many floors in dungeons as it has.
Also fixes for some things outright, like allowing the Gallery of Time back-floor item to spawn, which never does in the retail release making them permanently inaccessible.
