2025-05-17 12:00:13Hieromartyr Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, refused to offer pagan sacrifices, confessing Christ openly. Brought before the emperor in 304 AD, he remained steadfast despite threats. He was beheaded. Even at his execution, he prayed for those who persecuted him.
