Cows are fed addictives to make them produce less methane like bovaer. It has been found in their milk and therefore it most likely ends up in the meat. Long term consumption of it is not known if it will cause side effects, but infertility and cancer are a possibility.
I only eat chicken, turkey and lamb now. Would eat other meats, but they're classified as exotic, so therefore harder to find and more expensive. Even lamb costs more than what I'd like to pay, but it's the only alternative to beef I have.
