I understand it. I even understand why they think it. I dont even think all the people working towards it have evil intent. I just disagree with it. I think its catastrophically utopian. And ironically, I think its an old idea that was already tried around 2100 BC in the plains of Shinar. A single unified government, centered around a single civic project, undergirded by a single spiritual worldview, with the belief it was for "the good of all mankind" to "save" them from destruction. Like Solomon said, "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."
