Oh yeah I agree with the criticisms and I have made similar observations and critiques in the past.
The problem I have with her recent U-turn is that she's criticising the language being used but she's not distinguishing what is and what isn't problematic language. That leaves us in a tight spot where we can't really say diversity, equity or inclusion without being criticised for language policing or whatever.
