Wall Street and state actors buying #bitcoin doesn't inherently mean co-optation, however it’s very likely that paper bitcoin instruments for the normies will be mass produced. These paper #btc instruments offer price exposure without ownership of the underlying asset. As Wall Street churns out more of these fiat-wrapped products, we’ll see NgU in the short term but fewer sovereign individuals in the long term.
The state and financial elite won't bend to Bitcoin's inherent principles. While they can’t change its rules, using legal tender laws, they'll encase it in "safe, regulated" products, just like what happened with gold. The naïve belief that Bitcoin will transform these powers overlooks their ability to reshape it into fiat sludge for the masses. Building parallel systems is the winning move.
