Calinic of Cernica, before monasticism, was Christache. He deeply admired Saint Pimen the Great. One night, while Christache was asleep, St. Pimen appeared in a dream, urging him to embrace monastic life at Cernica Monastery. Overwhelmed by the divine visitation, he hastened to the monastery and became a monk, dedicating his life to God.
Let us pray that Bishop Calinic of Râmnic continues to guide us on the path of righteousness, inspired by his dedication to monasticism.
