Its extremely important to just play around with new stuff even if its just surface level. I'm tech savvy but far from a "dev". I've always been interested in tech and Bitcoin makes playing around with this stuff have a greater purpose instead of caring about the latest gadget that just came out.
I've played around with the nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 "node in the phone" before and cashu.me a little in the past so when I spun up a new embedded node to test out the cashu stuff Zeus just added I was familiar enough with both to feel comfortable enough testing something brand new out. Its just small steps that add up over time that make you truly feel comfortable with this stuff.
Also know that nostr:npub19kv88vjm7tw6v9qksn2y6h4hdt6e79nh3zjcud36k9n3lmlwsleqwte2qd and the nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 team are there to help if anything goes sideways also helps.

Ingredients:
1/4 lb Minced Beef

1/2 Baguette
To taste Salt
To taste Pepper
Top Mayonnaise
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
Heat a pan or griddle with a little vegetable oil.
Pour the mixture onto the pan and place a piece of open-faced baguette on top.
Press on the bread with a spatula and grill for 2 minutes.
Turn the bread over to make it a little crispy.
Remove from pan and cut the bread into small portions.
Add mayonnaise and/or Sambal before cutting the sandwich (optional).

Old hens still got it! Occasionally.
When you first get your hens once they begin laying they will do so just about every day their first year. Then they start slowly down. It’s very normal.
My old girls lay about every two ir three days. My olive-egger lays less than that. Her beautiful green eggs are a happy break from all the brown.
Today seven of my eight girls earned their keep.

Hey nostr, it got chilly again here, and that wind is pretty strong. Just kinda strange for this time of year. We already put away the firewood box for the year, but i'm sure this cool front wont last. I mostly piddled around the house today, after our trip into town to visit the resale shop. You know, #bitcoin is a high level resistant, but it is not 100%. It is like the resistance to cyber attacks, you can have the best system, but it will never reach 100% secure because they will always have doors to enter the system whatever they are. And this is just because this system is "open" to work, only close system can be 100% secure if it is completely close to any network (but what would it be useful for?).
So, yes, a huge censorship can stop bitcoin. But it will be too late for bitcoiner that will always find other alternative, some minds are very creative on this earth.
There is so many points Bitcoin can be under attack (close network, filter any crypted traffic, install spyware on android/iOS, force google/apple to close traffic of app to the bitcoin network. In any network there is a first connection, and because the client don't know where to do this connection, it must find a "stable" point to reach the first time, like an entrance door. Trying to alter this point is a way to control/watch the client.
Sorry for this half bad and half good news, but sometimes it i s good to hear the truth from one side or the other.
No system is 100% secure.

it would be interesting to add nostr clients a kind of "cache relay" for some limited datas like it works with torrent network and distribued files. This could make less charge for the relay, but it must be secured by signature to be sure the cached content is not altered by the nostr client. I'm sure some data can be distribued without involving loudly each relay. Remember #bitcoin make miner interested to mine with the value of bitcoin. Relay on nostr haven't all this reward back for their effort. There is also a concern about time to keep the cached content, but it will depend on the category of the content. Friend list is much more updated than "old" notes.

We went to a "Hands Off" protest here in Charlottesville this afternoon. It was *huge* by local standards. The estimate was about 5,000 people. We lined the sidewalk along a highly trafficked intersection beside a large shopping center. There was *so much* support from people driving by, with only a handful of grumpy dissenters.
Our signs:
Wife: "Love thy immigrant neighbor"
Son: "The great american melting pot" (Schoolhouse Rock!)
Me: "Compliance will not save you" (aimed at administrators!)
