身体上吸烟和喝咖啡差不多，提神，集中注意力。不然熬不了夜。提神主要是烟碱，烟碱代谢极快，没有明确对身体有毒害作用，伤害身体的主要是焦油和各种添加剂。对焦油敏感度每人不同。有烟瘾的人抽不抽烟基本等于换生活方式，活在不同的世界，可能都不算同一个人了，思维敏捷度，精神状态都不一样

以前抽烟的时候不讨厌烟雾环境，说不上适应也说不上反感，就是无感。戒烟后越来越忍受不了二手烟味儿了，别说一屋子抽烟的，就连走在路上前边人抽烟、老旧旅馆房间里的陈旧烟味儿都受不了了。不过想起了当年看过的可能是段子也可能是真事儿的，据说当年情景喜剧火爆的那些岁月，就是把一堆编剧“囚禁”在旅馆，烟酒管够，就是不让出来，直到把本子写完哈哈哈。

继续说一下吸烟这件事。众所周知，我最早在政府工作，因为笔头好，经常被抽去参加某个大报告的写作组。尼玛组里全是老烟枪，都是熬通宵写材料写出来的毛病。这批人现在大多六七十岁了，一个个在朋友圈里活得挺好，早上起来就一支烟点着，一直烧到晚上，朋友圈的照片都透着一股烟味，从手机屏幕里都能闻到。
后来从政府出来，在金融企业负责不动产的投资与工程，更是跟一帮烟鬼整天厮混。遇到艰难的谈判、无解的难题、处理不了的技术障碍、解决不了的费用争议，办公室里的烟气就像火灾现场。我看这拨人生龙活虎的，以后也不像会短命的样子。
我自己不抽烟。偶尔喝多了，或者熬夜熬狠了，抽半根意思一下。在我的认知里，烟这个东西，就是工作场合的一种工具，跟茶与口香糖的作用差不多。关于烟的危害性和致病性，我看了至今为止的那些主要研究报告，结论基本上都是猜测，甚至连一个正经一点的概率模型都建不起来。
所以，谁爱吸就吸吧。我个人并不反感吸烟的工作环境。
