I often struggle with keeping myself organized, especially in times like these.
I'm striking out on my own. I lost my job (for very dumb reasons) and so instead of putting mine and my families' financial futures into the hands of yet another inadequate HR department, I figured I would fall back on my old skillsets.
- Content creation
- Photography
- Writing
- Website building
- AI experimentation
- Etc.
With all of this going on I happened to stumble on a tool that I had not heard of before. Notion. I'm still not exactly sure what it is for in the base form, but I found a template called the Mind Matrix that is really helping me get my goals, projects and notes in order.
So far I've entered a bunch of information and cleared my desk of almost all of the loose notes I had been taking. I'll probably still take handwritten notes, but this will really help me keep it all straight and keep my desk clean. In the long term, it should help me get to the meaningful work quicker.
I can track my projects, habits, notes, goals and events.
This isn't a sponsored post or anything, I'm just really excited that I found something that can help me keep all of this in order.

wild weather here on #madeira also... and cold... they are saying it will drop to 14'C tonight and wind gusts over 30km/h... i think they are bursting at more than 50km/h tho, the way they are slamming windows around here
normal march weather for this place tho... last year there was about 4 quite severe storms... most windows here have shutters for a reason, stuff gets blowed about during these storms

Nostr projects just need to be devops-first and you need to program defensively, with stuff like ORMs and test automation.
That way your system responds appropriately to changes outside of itself and keeps you up-to-date on those changes. You should be pulling information in and calmly responding to the fluctuating environment, not chasing information down or feeling harrassed.

That's why #GitCitadel started off with architecture, data structures, backend, test, and devops, parallel to the app coding.
App coding is the fun part. People will do it for free. As we can observe. There's always someone or something that can do it faster, but they disappear as fast as they appeared. No point FOMOing in. It'll just make you batty.

Hmmmm...all of them? 😂 They're all different. Usually 5 to 7 pins, different depths. Some of mine are pinned to be hard to pick. High next to low, stuff like that. I don't know the exact cut depth most of the time, but a Lishi tool can tell you. You could pick one with that and then cut a key for next time. Then you're getting into the realm of red team pen testing stuff. That machine you have there would make you VERY popular with that crowd.

My Spanish pronunciation is actually pretty good. My father was from Spain so I picked up a lot of words and the pronunciation when I was a child but English was spoken at home so I never learned to speak fluently. I started doing Duolingo to try and learn it about a year ago and have made a lot of progress but still struggle with the grammar to write sentences correctly.

There are days where I'm just straight up pissed, but I'm really good about not letting it get out of control. I just let it simmer and post hot takes on Nostr and try to channel it into some real work. Or if I'm not pissed I could be depressed for a bit.
