how to use it as a battery though, that would be even cooler... a battery that is basically just a crystal that is charged by means of a linear ratchet pressure piston

my fiat job isn't horrible but it could be better
fortunately i am able to compartmentalize my work mostly separate from stuff that talks to shitcoins, my current task is creating a fuzzy matching system for a recommendation engine (match making)
but i wish i could just get paid to build out some awesome nostr
i do 3-5 hours a day fiat mining and then i'm on the nostr, anyway

what would be better is a device that diverts the force of gravity into a linear path and powers a piezo electro-cline (squashed quartz solid state generator)
first we gotta understand how gravity works though, but we already know that mass is proportional to energy so we know that there must be some way to capture it, since combustion and nuclear decay both release energy by splitting matter into the cold and the hot parts

feed your cat diced fried/grilled beef steak
kitty will eat a lot less than you expect, and won't be harassing you the next day for feeding
plus it seems to keep better at room temperature, probably due to the tallow sealing it, as inevitably some will be left and not eaten for some time
regular pasteurised foods seem to make the cat more hungry and overeat
the dry foods, the absolute worst part about them is that all kinds of nasty microscopic critters live on them, and fungi, and unless it's got no carbs in it, it's gonna eventually destroy their kidneys
on the beef - eats less weight of food, eats less frequently, has better motions, is calmer and more happy, gets gum massage, healing gingevitis, and +2 intelligence

It's determined by the author. Every 30041 event is a section and will appear in the ToC. We usually break events by the header1 "==" level.
Within a section/event, the Asciidoctor parser can recognize subsections.

Is there a way to create an initial bootstrap that is replaced as soon as they pick a few people to follow, a notice pops up to say "Select relays based on where your friends post" this replaces the bootstrap and they see them more as the message board locations their friends post to.
Does that sound feasible?

It's the switch we use for the stylesheet in the client. Research papers will have different styling than manga than novels than docs, etc.
