haha that's quite a comical non sequitur
yes, at minimum, you can talk about the aggregation of matter from space... all kinds of dust and small particles that don't even have enough weight to fall, but just sorta waft on down and settle in the ground
every time there is a solar flare or filament eruption, particles from the sun are shot at us, and yes, the sun is the main thing the dust is going to fall into, but some of it will fall directly on us and some will fall into the sun and help the sun blurt a bunch of somewhat radioactive such dust materials, when there is really big flares, what tehy call "superflares" the matter that escapes the sun can be enough that given a few thousand years it can form rocks many tons in weight and this was just from the sun burping
geologists know that at least one or two substantial variances in radio-isotopes in materials can tell you something about the state of the sun, they are like the rock is to star as atmosphere is to ice for ice cores... parts of the core that have a lot of deutereum and tritium in them can be guessed as being formed during a period of high radiation and particle emission from the sun... indeed as you probably know, part of the carbon 14 thing relates to solar radiocarbon emission but many other factors point towards the idea that this ratio is WAY not consistent enough over time to be a dating mechanism and that if it isn't burned into igneous rock it's age can be almost anything, and carbon won't help you
the whole dinosaur age hooey is entirely based on the wrong hypothesis that it wasn't the SUN that killed the dinosaurs, you see what i mean? that would explain the higher levels of C14, as the whole theory implies, it comes from the sun, and the sun can also bake this place to a crisp on occasion and cause hell weather and irradiate living things with ultraviolet and x ray energy, both of which cause mutation and mostly death (by cancer)

ultimately they are related, the event messages you have designed have a lot in common with a commit, just not as open-ended in structure... i think this is probably a more important protocol to build than simply make a relay into a git commit store
and there's a lot of stuff to sort out regarding things like spiders and broadcasting, the actual decentralizing part is exactly about achieving a reasonable rate of convergence of replicas
and i think also by pushing this over to the client side a bit we get to make the decentralization heterogeneous as well, i mean, where authors can define their multicast group is, though anyone can then bounce that wherever, as their business requirements specify

i'm of the opinion that the thing that makes the difference will not just be in capabilities but architecture
a simpler way of talking about things tends to make them easier to code
but maybe i'm weird like this, being a #golang #gopher for the last 8 years everything gets tighter and simpler at the same time... even in my own code i tend to net reduce the amount of code after a certain point with a project
worse is better, simpler takes a lot more work

The important information to know is that GitHub is just a layer on top of a gitserver, and the main parts we use are the patches and the issues, which we have in gitstuff events.
You could keep GitHub as a remote NIP repo and everyone could have their own repo clone and decide, by themselves, which patches they pull. That would end the need to grovel to the repo owners, to get a NIP merged. More-popular patches would be pulled by more people, even if the GitHub repo owners don't like it.
The people you actively work with would tend to have patches that you are more-likely to see, which eliminates the need we've developed to go off and have topic-chatrooms, so that you can finally talk with the people interested in a Nostr topic on Nostr.
But whatever.
We haven't ever gotten any use out of the NIP repo. Only grief. Over and over, nothing but grief and time wasted that we coulda spent developing and shitposting.

no, the field of the earth interacts with especially the sun, firstly, and then jupiter, saturn and neptune, all of which also have permanent magnetic fields
not sure if i ever mentioned to you the "expanding earth" theory which automatically becomes a "celestial object lifesycle hypothesis" that essentially matter clumps together, and once it gets big enough, it first becomes volcanic and then with sufficient extra mass and iron, its dense ferromagnetic core goes supercritical (above melting point but at pressure too high to allow it to disagregate) and because it can be in this state it lines up like a permanent magnet
this can't happen without enough iron, for one thing, and the iron tends to chromatographically drift to the core because it can tolerate this supercritical state at higher pressure than almost anything else (nickel and cobalt also are able to exist in this state, and probably all those "rare earth minerals" are rare because once they are in magma their tendency is to go towards the core not the crust
and regarding that celestial bodies lifecycle theory, it essentially is that bodies of matter continue to accumulate matter by one way or another
even the black holes at the core of the galaxy keep on growing in size, they just don't grow in circumference as fast because of wtf ever happens at such a ridiculously supercritical state of pressure and density entails, i mean, you know the story about atoms are mostly space... well, there is a lot less space in a blackhole, and it's not hard to see that if normal matter is mostly space that there may even be a point at which further expansion is essentially countered by equal compression
fuck knows what that shit is tho, i mean, i don't think there is other universes in black holes
i think they are just the definition of retarded

lol, there is several planets with seasons, the rotational velocity is more sticky than the orbital velocity, i mean, velocity and inertia are much the same exact thing at planet scale
oh yeah, there was something else, the magnetic field of the earth's core emerges in arcs across the tropics, this is why they are relatively excitable weather... most of the solar energy is guided to the poles by the outer bands of the field but that which gets through that is guided by the inner fields and those are the tropics
the importance of the magnetic fields should not be discounted as being a factor in the orientation of our planet, beacuse unlike mercury, venus and mars the field of the earth is strong enough to stop life being nuked
i think that on a long enough timeline, the magnetic fields shapes have an impact on planets orbiting a star like we have here, it doesn't have to be as strong a force as mass to have a long term impact, because magnetic fields are "weak" except when they come into 90 degree conflict with each other and then there is very strong repulsion
and magnetic fields also affect the motion of radiation and radio waves and ionised particles and plasma
the idiot mainstream scifi science idiots think that mars used to have life on the basis of this theory that the sun used to be hotter, in the "goldilocks" zone where we are now at the current energy output, this is an artifact of this idiot idea that the only energy life uses is heat, when plainly there is all kinds of other energy being hurled at our planet
without a field to make an ionosphere, mars could never have life on it, it's always gonna be bathed in substantial amounts of gamma and x and cosmic rays and that nukes DNA.
it's not just about heat, that's why it's probable that actually the earth itself caused this tilt by being a certain size and having sufficient mass to generate an internal permanent magnetic field
THE END

The problems with everyone working with NIPs as permanent PRs is that
* people keep starting new PRs to cover the same topic, rather than joining in the working group that already exists
* without a NIP ever being merged or listed, there's no reference point, for newcomers
* the NIP never reaches a frozen state, as you leave the PR discussion and come back and files have been added and whatnot, and it's like, At which point in this PR thread did I implement this NIP?
* there are almost 600 PRs, already, and Nostr is still relatively small
* some PRs do actually get merged, but there's no clear criteria or schedule for merging, so it just looks like favoritism
* all of Nostr's use cases are documented and discussed primarily on GitHub, which is embarrassing for a communications protocol (i.e. "the developers of Nostr don't want to use on Nostr")

Nothing you wouldn't expect. Mainly been thinking of Central and South American countries like Costa Rica, Ecuador, Paraguay, etc.
But now we are considering a family homestead/compound with my in-laws in the states. We've been far from family for a long time, so it would be nice for our kid to have her grandparents, aunts, cousins, and all around.
