Hey, Peter, you may or may not remember my email, but I emailed you when you stated your new show and offered to go for a coffee while I was in London. I really enjoy your new show and I love seeing your success. You have been so transparent and humble.
I’d love to see a show about Europe and specifically Germany. It’s sadly a husk of a nation now with ‘democracy’ that isn’t very representative given 20 percent of the electorate is being shut out of the government.
If possible, I’d love to see a show about this.

I really like Cherrytree as a general note taking program. You can put notes in a database and create notes under "nodes" and "subnodes".
I've heard a lot of people tout Obsidian for something like this as well, though.

It's not as easy to use iCloud for it as they might think. It would count stored in their file storage, wouldn't show up in their iOS Gallery app at all, nor would it be the seamless user experience they're expecting. They'd have to use the Cryptomator app to view their files. If you're backing up to another cloud then you're going to be using that app as a gallery app as well.
As for the client-side scanning, most of it is FUD written by other companies to advertise their products or their low effort tech media. There is no omnipotent program just reading and taking whatever they want to Apple, people would easily call out this is happening by just showing rather than saying. Most AI features are done on device. Any data that needs to be sent elsewhere is done through their Private Cloud Compute system which is meant to keep any requests private. It's heavily documented on their web site and security-critical components of it are open source.

😬 That is so great!! My suggestion is to start with something flat to learn the stitches and how to count them. Like wash cloth sized, a big grip on the hook might help with little hands (a pencil grippy thing if it'll stay on the hook is what I've seen). Mooglyblog.com hopefulhoney.com leftinknots.com and repeatcrafterme.com all have great tutorials and free patterns for easy projects. One day, I'll have to get on hivetalk and do some lessons. The biggest thing is patience!!! 🫂💜🧶

What a challenging situation. You are being there for your niece just by trying to muddle through this emotional quagmire. Share what you remember, but also share how challenging it all is. I'm sure she is also having a lot of challenges around the subject and it can be something you relate to each other over. I have some problematic people in my family too and what has helped me is thinking of Sir Thomas Malory, certified very bad dude, who wrote Le Morte d'Athur while in prison. That works became the cornerstone for Arthurian legend which I love so much and gained so much inspiration from. Without that certified bad dude, there would not be those beautiful stories I love. People are really complicated and where there is great darkness there is often great light as well. That is the beautiful thing about being human, we are none of us two dimensional. I am sending love and light and I hope this experience helps you both get closer to peace.

i decided to go up the street and have some beer and stake sammich
it was nice
i fed a little of the veal stake to my favourite shop stray #catstr chikita, as well as giving her some nice ... well, the nicest thing i could find, some actual gravy with chunks of tuna
plus of course some cheesy biscuits
she is getting more and more familiar with me, she doesn't bat my fingers when i try to touch her now
gave me a good opportunity to watch her and she has the dark eye secretion and a bit of the yellow stain on her paws, and the more obvious tongue out thing... only difference with her is her laryngitis
but she several times managed to make a note as she spoke to me, sometimes surprisingly
anyway
too many things to think about
i almost wasn't gonna turn on the computer but then i saw #mochi wanted some dindins so i gave him the best of the new things i found... well, i saw them before but now i look at the label and look for the one that shows chunks of tuna in a gravy, that seems to be nearly decent, not just jelly and meat so soft you could cut it with a credit card
mochi is enjoying a can of that now also
if humans won't appreciate what i do then i'll find some small animals who will
i know there is some nice humans that appreciate me and i do my best there but the little animals appreciate the attention and care in a very concrete way and i need some of that
if nobody is bettered by your actions then you are worthless
