🧡 Čtvrteční meetup v Prostějově! 🧡
Sešlo se asi 25 skvělých lidí – od úplných nováčků až po zkušené OGs. ⚡ Původně plánovanou přednášku od Firefish, pro kterou brzy najdeme nový termín, nahradil zábavný kvíz od Alexe.
Nechyběla ani malá bitcoin tombola – mezi cenami byly knihy od Braiins nebo kšiltovka Firefish. Někteří si tak poprvé vyzkoušeli platbu přes Lightning Network. 🤝
Dorazili i zástupci Jednadvacet z Boskovic, Olomouce, Šumperka a Ostravy. A aby toho nebylo málo, ukázali se i organizátoři ChainCampu a místní hanácký šaman Kicom. 😎
Další meetup v Prostějově už se chystá – termín a program brzy zveřejníme. ☝️

I think the voters got exactly what they desereved.
Whats going on now has nothing much to do with brexit, which was an expression of a desire to be a sovereign nation with a much smaller state.
It was seen as a problem to solve by a group of political elites that had moved to the left.
And then in the last election a small cohort of people voted for labour based only on the grounds they weren't the tories....
Tl;dr... they got exactly what they wanted, they just didn't realise what they were going to get.

Duitsland schuift in korte en felle campagne op naar rechts
"Nog zeventig uur", roept Friedrich Merz voldaan. Hij telt de uren af tot de huidige regering plaatsmaakt, voor hem en zijn partij. Het zelfvertrouwen van de leider van de Duitse christendemocraten, is groot op het campagne-event van de CDU in Berlijn donderdagavond.
Alle peilingen wijzen er inderdaad op dat de CDU morgen de grootste wordt in de parlementsverkiezingen die Merz vanwege de grote internationale onrust nu al historisch noemt. Die zullen bepalen wie het voor het zeggen krijgt in het machtigste land van Europa, op een moment dat Europa meer op zichzelf lijkt aangewezen.
Dat Duitsland naar rechts opschuift, is al te merken voordat duidelijk is welke partijen straks samen kunnen regeren. Tegelijk blijven na een felle campagne, die gedomineerd wordt door binnenlandse zorgen over migratie en de economie, enkele belangrijke vragen open.
Stijgende prijzen en brokkelende infrastructuur
Aanvankelijk ging in de verkiezingsstrijd de meeste aandacht uit naar economische problemen in Duitsland. Het beeld van een ingestorte brug in Dresden en de problemen bij Volkswagen groeiden uit tot symbool voor de verwaarloosde infrastructuur en de industrie die het moeilijk heeft.
Nog altijd spelen zorgen over hoge rekeningen, lage pensioenen en verdwijnende banen een rol bij de gang naar de stembus, ook al wijst bondskanselier Scholz (SPD) erop dat de stijgende kosten vooral te wijten zijn aan de Russische president Poetin. De Duitse regering zag zich door de Russische inval in Oekraïne gedwongen om in plaats van goedkoop Russisch gas elders duurder energie in te kopen, een ongekend snelle omslag die in een industrieland als Duitsland ook veel andere prijzen opdrijft.
Voor de meeste Duitsers zijn het vooral die gevolgen die ertoe doen: oplopende rekeningen en fabrieken die overwegen in Duitsland te stoppen.
Partijen schuiven naar rechts
Maar na de aanslag op de kerstmarkt in Maagdenburg, een mesaanval in Aschaffenburg en de vermoedelijke aanslag in München is migratie weer het emotionele middelpunt van debatten geworden. Opnieuw maakt iemand met een migratieachtergrond slachtoffers in Duitsland; de maat is vol, klinkt het van links tot rechts. Nuances verdwijnen naar de achtergrond.
Dat Duitsland met immigranten criminaliteit 'importeert' was een idee dat eerder vooral bij de radicaal-rechtse AfD te horen was. Inmiddels vindt die gedachte ook meer weerklank in het midden. De stappen die de regering-Scholz al heeft gezet, zoals de invoering van grenscontroles en een uitbreiding van de middelen om uitgeprocedeerde asielzoekers uit te zetten, gaan velen niet ver genoeg.
Wat migratieplannen betreft zijn er nu behoorlijke overeenkomsten tussen het partijprogramma van de AfD en de christendemocratische CDU/CSU. Zo stellen beide dat de Duitse grenzen dicht moeten voor asielzoekers. Zoals Merz het zelf formuleert: de christendemocraten moesten hun eerdere koers onder Angela Merkel corrigeren. Al met al zijn de programma's van de Duitse partijen harder geworden op migratie, en conservatiever, concludeert een onderzoek van het Manifesto-Projekt.
Strijdpunten
Of een nieuwe regering de Duitse grenzen daadwerkelijk kan sluiten, blijft voorlopig onduidelijk. Volgens de huidige peilingen zouden de christendemocraten in een nieuwe regering met tenminste één andere partij moeten samenwerken. De radicaal-rechtse AfD, die met zo'n 20 procent tweede staat, sluit de partij uit. De sociaaldemocraten, nummer drie in de peilingen, zeggen dat sluiting van de grenzen volgens Europese regels niet mogelijk is.
Diezelfde SPD wil meer geld lenen om in de economie en defensie te investeren, iets wat de christendemocraten in de campagne vooralsnog juist uitsluiten. Die willen belastingen verlagen om het bedrijfsleven te helpen, en daar voelt de SPD weer weinig voor.
Ook wat defensie betreft lopen de standpunten uiteen. Scholz hield leveringen van Taurus-raketten aan Oekraïne tot nu toe tegen uit angst voor escalatie van de oorlog, een zorg van veel Duitsers. Merz is uitgesproken voor. En de vraag of Duitsland een militaire bijdrage kan leveren aan troepen in Oekraïne na een eventueel bestand, laten beiden voor de verkiezingen liever onbeantwoord.
Leiden in Europa
Dat het onhandig is dat Duitsland juist nu in een verkiezingsstrijd verkeert, bleek ook afgelopen maandag. De Franse president Macron had Europese regeringsleiders bij elkaar geroepen voor een spoedoverleg. Bondskanselier Scholz moest vroegtijdig weg: hij moest op de Duitse televisie nog vragen van burgers beantwoorden in een verkiezingsuitzending.
Eén belofte wil Merz wel doen, bij het CDU-event in Berlijn. "Als wij een regering vormen, en ik die leid, dan zal Duitsland weer een leidende rol nemen in Europa. We zijn met 84 miljoen mensen, de grootste economie, midden in Europa." Europa kan niet om Duitsland heen, zegt Merz.
