If something is just meh, whatever it is, it does not play a role of a religious/spiritual experience *for you*. There are multiple ways of approaching God / Tao / The Ground of Being / whateveryoucallit, science being one of them. But if you approach Him close enough, the technical reason stops being sufficient and you'll spontaneously start doing weird shit like falling down on your knees, awestruck.
The established religions are simply traditional ways of responding to the divine that used to work and still work for a large (but diminishing) number of people. By "work", I mean "elicit a feeling of conformance to God".

I use Huawei P40 since April 2020. The first Huawei phone without google play services. I am used to download apps using .apk and do not feel the need for google play at all. Especially since I discovered nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8, eveything has become easier.
Therefore I do not really care how privacy and freedom oriented your app is, as long as you do not provide .apk or Zapstore options, I will not use your app since your claim of privacy & freedom goes through gates of google & apple.
