Over the past few years Bitcoiners went from dismissing Lightning to cheering on custodial solutions. While many of those solutions have great properties and make sense for low-balance wallets, we shouldn’t lose sight of the goal - great non-custodial UX that Bitcoiners actually *want* to use.
Luckily we have the tech for it (now), we just need the motivation and resources to build great wallets using it!

My draft notes:
Just to be clear, when you say “we only hold sterling”.
You don’t, the bank does, except they don’t either because all your money is lent out.
You just have an entry in a ledger at the bank.
Your sterling doesn’t exist.
This is why 2007/8 happened.
If you hold Bitcoin, you would hold it, not the bank, not a custodial service, you.
In the short term (less than 4 years) the price is volatile, we are in a bullrun year (6 - 18 months after the halving that happened on April 20th), so generally the price is rising, but other years Bitcoin can be highly volatile.
However with a time frame of 4 years or greater, Bitcoin is highly stable and extremely predictable and increases in value around 20 fold during each epoch.
We are in Epoch 5.
Epoch 6 will start at Bitcoin block height 1,000,050 around April / May 2028.

Python and python environments and conda and all that shit are the most infuriating and unintuitive bunch of garbage.
I cannot even count the number of times I get random errors, have to uninstall and reinstall something, that some package is just “missing pygutil” or some shit despite my having done nothing from the last time I ran some app. And the process of finding and correcting it is such a convoluted mess that Ai can’t even make sense of it 80% of the time.
I swear it’s broken more often than it works. I must have installed all of my python based Ai stuff 4-5 times EACH because of some nonsensical python error or incompatibility with one of its versions.
The only thing that I installed once and it has worked the entire time, is Whisper… and guess what? It’s built in C++ and doesn’t touch anything python related 😒

To answer that question you must discover to what relays your updated metadata event was published, so the starting point of the investigation would be the client that you used to change it.
Then you must check the Wikifreedia source code to discover how and where it is fetching metadata from.
Using https://github.com/fiatjaf/nak to query purplepag.es and relay.nostr.band, for example, to see what metadata event they have, could give you some insight on what is going on.
