Nobody bothered to emulate manure production from petrol or electric cars as they superseded horse transportation.

I'm sorry, you're right. Everyone has different things in mind when it comes to privacy. What comes to mind for me is access to privacy-focused, open source apps and the other apps/OS doesn't spy to sell your data.
I'm honestly not trying to be confrontational here. I have been wondering what it is about iOS that keeps freedom tech lovers locked in.

Scale in which sense? You mean by throughput? Nostr can scale infinitely: more people means more relays and everything just gets arranged automatically, you can always connect (and only connect) to people you follow or know or are interested in.
Also Nostr can do moderation just fine, based on relays. What is the question?
The only thing Nostr has against it is status quo bias, which is a giant force.

I see that as an OPSEC mitigation for security. There is value there, for sure, but most apps (all of them on my phone) with sensitive info have that option built in as well. If, for some reason, I left my phone unlocked and someone picked it up within the 30 seconds it takes to lock automatically, they wouldnt have access to anything sensitive.
But that doesnt really address the privacy.

Most companies raise money to fund the growth of the useful thing they do for society.
(Micro)Strategy still does a useful thing at its core, but the vast majority of it is now a money making exercise for its shareholders. I think this is the problem I have with it. It doesn’t do anything useful.
That is, unless you consider it a giant publicity drive for Bitcoin. But if that is true, then why is Bitcoin not doing more?
Adam Back, who I respect immensely, had a public bet that Bitcoin would reach $100K by the halving. He lost and Bitcoin didn’t reach that target until over 6 months later. It is still hanging around this value 10 months on.
This despite ETFs, MicroStrategy and the huge swell of wealth funds and strategic reserves being built around Bitcoin.
What’s going on? We all know that Bitcoin should be significantly higher by now, even without any of the adoption currently under way.
Bitcoin will still do its thing, but I’m not sure the publicity is making any difference.

I've asked this before and looked online but have not found an answer. How is iOS better for privacy than Android? Especially now that they dropped some encryption for the EU? It seems to me that any security advantage stems from the same qualities that prevent a lot of apps from being available on iOS, i.e. their "walled garden." I also assume this point is reference to stock Android and not something like Graphene.

“Do value4value, it’s the future” — we did this with BitcoinFocus too, pay-per-view for a premium newsletter, €1 per article. But you need a LOT of readers. Paywalls aren’t cool. Full free accessible content is what creators want.
And on top of that — after securing some sponsorships — remaining independent as a creator is bloody difficult..
