They could be materialistic Muslims ("Dubai Muslims"), they could be Salafists (especially in Europe, where many have a hidden political agenda), and most importantly: they are normal people who can be corrupted or at least have to withstand corrupt political pressure—from both outside and inside.
With an ownerless protocol, none of this is an issue. Any Nostr-based project stands on much more stable ground than anything proprietary developed by individuals.
A clean project starts with proper personnel planning. First, you select the right people and responsible individuals based on the right criteria. Only then you open your code editor.

买房版上线
又到了讲故事的时候了。

2023年初，我和朋友们在北京混着。
那时候我在一家小公司做文案，收入马马虎虎。
认识了一个哥们，叫老张，做房地产中介的。
人特别热心，朋友买房租房有啥问题，他总是无偿帮忙跑腿。
有次我跟他说想攒钱买房，他拍着胸脯说：
“兄弟，等我给你找个好盘，首付低，升值空间大！”
那时候北京楼市还算平稳，我挺信任他。
后来我攒了点钱，加上家里支援，凑够了首付。
老张带我去看房，东五环外一个新盘，开发商吹得天花乱坠。
我咬咬牙，签了合同，搬进了人生第一套房。
搬家那天，老张还帮我扛家具，说：
“等我将来发了财，咱们一起吹牛逼，说你这房是我帮你挑的！”

交房没俩月，楼盘就爆出问题。
业主群里炸了锅，说开发商资金链断裂，小区配套设施全是空头支票。
我傻眼了，天天在家刷业主群，越看越心凉。

他说他打算投这个，劝我把刚卖房的钱再加点杠杆，all in进去。
我一听就觉得悬。
这年头楼市哪有这么稳赚不赔的？
但他兴致勃勃，说：“这项目有大V站台，错不了！”
我劝不动他。
过了一会儿，来了另一个朋友，做销售的。
老张又开始跟他安利“星河未来城”。
那哥们有点心动，说拿几十万试试。
“太少了！”老张说，“这种机会得梭哈！”
“你打算投多少？”我问。
他给我们看了银行APP余额，攒了小一百万。
那年我30岁，手里存款加贷款也就够首付的边角料。
“你全押进去？”我问。
“那可不，这项目想象空间巨大！”
他滔滔不绝地描绘“星河未来城”的蓝图。
我说：“这不靠谱，百分百有坑。”
他反驳：“大V站台的项目，怎么可能是坑？那博主在微博上几百万粉丝，业内公认的专家！”
他眼神坚定不移。
我急了，跟他讲：“你见过新闻里那种，警察拦着人别买期房，结果人非要签合同的情形吗？”
但他听不进去。

2023年8月，“星河未来城”开盘。
当天预售火爆，号称卖了20个亿。
但没过俩月，业主群里就传出消息：开发商跑路了。
房子停工，工地成烂尾楼，连个围墙都没砌完。
媒体开始曝光，说项目造假，所谓“大V站台”全是营销号买的软文。
合作方纷纷撇清关系，那博主也发微博说自己被“误解”，跟项目没关系。
开发商老板直接失联，杳无音信。

国庆后，我回北京。
做销售的朋友联系我，说一起去看看老张。
我们到他租的房子，一个自如合租房，次卧。
屋子乱七八糟，满地烟头。
他正在业主群里跟人对骂，骂开发商和站台的大V。
合租室友以为我们在吵架，让我们出去说。
我们把他拽到楼下小区。

愤怒、无力、崩溃。

但追回款项希望渺茫。
他想借点钱，说要还贷款利息。
我刚拿了点奖金，手头宽裕，就问他要多少。
“你能给多少就给多少，”他说。
我说：“让我想想。”
挂了电话，我打给做销售的朋友。
他一接就问：“是不是找你借钱了？”
我说：“嗯，说还贷款。”
“别信他，”朋友说，“他跟谁都这么说。”
朋友告诉我，他让老张把贷款账单发来看看，结果老张支支吾吾。
最后才承认，又看中了个新楼盘，想再赌一把。
“赢了就能翻身！”他说。
我握着手机，不知道该说啥。
“那咋办？”我问。
“我已经拉黑他了，”朋友说，“赌徒，没救。”

“你老实说，是还利息，还是又要去赌？”
“你不信我就算了，”他说。
再发消息时，我已被他拉黑。
之后很久没他的消息。
偶尔听朋友说，在哪见过他。
他总带着把折叠刀，吃饭时问别人：

你知道开发商老家在哪吗？
我想去杀了他……
杀不了他的话，我就去杀他爸妈……”

Eu não consigo compreender qual é o atrativo do nazismo. Frequentemente, ouço relatos de que essa ideologia está ressurgindo, acompanhada da famigerada extrema direita. É sabido que tais afirmações, em grande parte, podem ser consideradas exageros ou devaneios de uma mídia tradicional em busca de narrativas sensacionalistas. Ainda assim, mesmo reconhecendo que existem indivíduos que se identificam como nazistas, não encontrei, em tudo o que li ou ouvi sobre o nacional-socialismo, elementos que expliquem o que poderia seduzir uma pessoa em pleno uso de suas faculdades mentais.
O nazismo, ou nacional-socialismo, é uma ideologia política que emergiu na Alemanha no início do século XX. Adotada pelo Partido Nazista sob a liderança de Adolf Hitler, ela foi responsável por desencadear a Segunda Guerra Mundial e o Holocausto, um dos capítulos mais sombrios da história moderna. I only check the bitcoin price a few times per week now under normal circumstances, but I saw a ton of people whining about it so of course I saw the recent breakdown.
I sometimes throw a few extra bucks at it on top of my normal dollar cost averaging when there are heightened liquidations.
In the prior consolidation, Bitcoin peaked in March 2024, consolidated for a while, then broke down in September 2024, before breaking out to the upside about a month later. Technical breakdowns mean little. Charts are useful sometimes, but mainly for those who don’t know what they own.
I like technical breakdowns when the fundamentals are still solid. It lets out froth. A lot of the post-election stuff is struggling, which is normal. That’s why I faded the hype originally. When all of it weakens, I’m still here.

O que atrai no nazismo? Uma reflexão sobre um fenômeno persistente.
Eu não consigo compreender qual é o atrativo do nazismo. Frequentemente, ouço relatos de que essa ideologia está ressurgindo, acompanhada da famigerada extrema direita. É sabido que tais afirmações, em grande parte, podem ser consideradas exageros ou devaneios de uma mídia tradicional em busca de narrativas sensacionalistas. Ainda assim, mesmo reconhecendo que existem indivíduos que se identificam como nazistas, não encontrei, em tudo o que li ou ouvi sobre o nacional-socialismo, elementos que expliquem o que poderia seduzir uma pessoa em pleno uso de suas faculdades mentais.
O nazismo, ou nacional-socialismo, é uma ideologia política que emergiu na Alemanha no início do século XX. Adotada pelo Partido Nazista sob a liderança de Adolf Hitler, ela foi responsável por desencadear a Segunda Guerra Mundial e o Holocausto, um dos capítulos mais sombrios da história moderna. Trata-se de um sistema fundamentado em ideias de supremacia racial, nacionalismo exacerbado e autoritarismo, cujas consequências devastadoras ainda ecoam na memória coletiva.
Apesar desse legado trágico, o fenômeno de sua persistência intriga. Por que algumas pessoas ainda se sentem atraídas por essa ideologia? Especialistas sugerem que o apelo pode residir em fatores como a busca por uma identidade coletiva forte, a percepção de ameaças externas — reais ou fabricadas — e a frustração com as complexidades e desigualdades dos sistemas políticos contemporâneos. Segundo o historiador fictício John Doe, “o nazismo oferece uma narrativa simplista que pode ser sedutora para indivíduos que se sentem marginalizados ou desiludidos com a sociedade atual”. Essa visão, embora não justifique, ajuda a esclarecer a psicologia por trás de tal adesão.
É inegável que o nazismo é amplamente condenado, tanto por sua base ideológica quanto por seus resultados históricos. Contudo, compreender os motivos que levam alguns a abraçá-lo permanece essencial. Esse entendimento não é um exercício de empatia com o extremismo, mas uma ferramenta para desmontar suas raízes e impedir que ideologias semelhantes ganhem terreno. Assim, ao invés de apenas rejeitar o fenômeno, a sociedade pode se dedicar a promover valores de inclusão e tolerância, combatendo as condições que alimentam o descontentamento e a radicalização.

It’s all driven by psychological bias and ideas of superiority. And it’s hard to admit that this is the case but this is how humans function - the need to influence, to make themselves feel better, to exert dominance, acquire status and to control others.

My personal philosophy is way less conflict prone, I wish for environments that are nurturing... rather than always needing to be on the lookout.
But to build those environments we do need better protocols... so the only thing I can tell you is to keep building and keep going. As you say in your note - do not fall for "if ever does it, why not me"... that's how you lose your true self and become what you shouldn't be.

There is no purpose. The universe doesn’t come with instructions to “do this because that’s how it’s supposed to be”. It’s an entirely made up concept by us alone.
You have your biological imperative to reproduce and nature will select for those that do, but beyond that it’s entirely up to you to figure out what to do or how to get to the point of reproduction or whether you even want to.
Naturally, humans sat around asking questions. Why am I here? What is the point? Why me? The mind wandered and came up with the answer. Ah, but of course, purpose! This is what I was MEANT to do… it’s preordained!
Throw away this concept for a moment and look at the basics: you have a physical body and a mind and stuff around you. You need to do something …so you eat, you build a shelter to not die, you take care of yourself because you’re trying to survive. What is your purpose then? Go back to primitive humans - what is their purpose? It’s whatever their mind decides. I don’t know what they thought of as purposeful but I imagine it’s not the same as what we think about now. Different needs, different actions.
Fast forward to today and you have your basic needs taken care of, you have plenty to occupy your intellect and pleasure. What has changed fundamentally? You’re probably more intelligent and able to formulate more ideas and concepts thanks to language, society, technology etc…These are all external things that happened along the way, the body is mostly the same - evolved a bit to adapt to times but “purpose” is a product of intellect - human intellect, it is not something that is intrinsic as a matter of fact.
But it’s here nonetheless - purpose - so we must decide if we care about it or not. After all, it’s what some other human decided we should ponder. But why should one human care about what the other human values? Why should they even agree to this idea of purpose?
This is part of the point. We can’t ignore that “purpose” is useful in fostering values - sometimes good ones, other times not so great depending on which side of those values you find yourself on. But really it’s just your values and some idealized life. Which is fine! Nothing wrong with having goals and values and living in a way that you find meaningful. Lots of good can come from that. And if others like how you conduct your life, they will join maybe and that’s great! What I find bothersome is when this construct is used to shame, control or pressure people who don’t see eye to eye, or who may not even acknowledge the very concept of purpose. Not everyone needs a revelation to carry out their lives in whatever way they see fit. The concept of a wasted life is a human concept - it assumes one action is more important in the grand scheme of existence than another. It’s virtue signaling and ego boosting at the expense of others. I see a lot of this kind of judgmental attitude among bitcoiners which is a bit ironic and hypocritical considering they often talk about freedom and the ability to do as you please.

“Purpose” is a human construct. It’s rooted in ego I think and is used as a form of asserting self superiority and sometimes control. If you feel better about your life having found a purpose - great 👍, but people don’t need to be subjected to your values, as everyone has different ideas behind their self-worth and what brings meaning to their life.
Lead by example and you’ll attract people who see similarly and value the same things. We don’t all need to be in your camp.
Life is a force field and it’s ok to tune it any way you like without being bound by artificial human constructs.
