Somebody might need to run some tests in production. There are many things that affect that speed, including:
- Spam detection procedures
- Database Index refresh
- Key priority (paid users go first) to both post and see a post
- Content classification tools (safe for kids relays)
- Event redistribution to the CDN servers in separate locations

whenever you reach 1k sats in “bonus sats”
Go to the “crash” game and bet 1k sats and as soon as the game begins you cash out, don’t get greedy n try to go for 1.5x, 2x, 3x etc

People usually miss posts from slow relays. And relays are busy/offline all the time. So, I would add a second fast one.
Overtime I don't think a relay will ever be fast and store forever at the same time. They are competing architectural designs from the relay.

Your Nostr reach is directly proportional to how much you invest on your Outbox relays.
Make sure your Public Outbox/Home relays are fast. If you are using a relay that takes its time to update its cache and your post takes a couple minutes to show up, most people will not see it. They have moved on to more recent posts. They will need to scroll back in time to find your post.

We need to make sharded nsecs the default for Nostr.
Amethyst partially signs with its share of the nsec and sends to Amber. Amber can only finish the signature or reject. Amber should not be able to reassemble the nsec from any event from Amethyst (or any other app).
Now repeat this for every single Nostr app.
No single app has the full nsec. The only way to "leak" an nsec is to break into the code of both apps at the same time.
Frost does that. But for singing only.
We also need sharded encryption and decryption schemes.

yeah its not that low level. GameActivity has an internal buffer it builds up that tracks what has been typed so far, what is highlighted, etc. so GameActivity is buggy

I don't see a problem problem with sending requests with a large number of pubkeys to the big relays if the people are on those big relays, as long as you're fetching the other pubkeys from the other small relays they publish to.

Some Bitcoin History...
On this day in 2013, an undiscovered discrepancy between the Bitcoin 0.7 and recently released 0.8 client versions caused an unintentional hard fork (a network split).
After a storm of discussion and organizing by developers, the community, services, and miners, a consensus on downgrading nodes to 0.7 was reached and over nearly 6 hours the dominant hash power migrated back to the 0.7 chain.
After reaching a peak of 8 blocks ahead of the other chain, the forked chain finally fell behind the 0.7 version and 24 blocks were orphaned at once from the forked chain, marking when all of the software across the entire Bitcoin ecosystem fell back into consensus.
What I'm doing today:
• I'm taking at least 24 minutes out of the day to review some bitcoin code, and/or learn at least one new thing about Bitcoin code and how it works. The more eyes and expertise we have in the ecosystem, the stronger and more resilient Bitcoin is.
Wild to have lived through this little part of Bitcoins life.
