This is another example why "app stores" are retarded. Either they are curated lists of trusted apps according to whatever trusted person or they accept anything but then you shouldn't be browsing them looking for cool extensions because everything must be assumed to be a virus.

Markdown is so bad in so many ways. Here are some, but I'm sure I forgot many others:
1. it's not a standard, there are dozens of variations and quirks;
2. parsing is hard and slow specially when you get to combinations of markups blocks inside other markup blocks and lists;
3. it sells itself on being readable as plaintext -- and it truly was in the beginning --, but with ![]() and []() URLs and ## titles it's really a pure-markup language that can only be read as plaintext with great effort, like HTML;
4. no one really wants to write Markdown, only a dozen nerds, and for some reason they assume the entire world loves Markdown.

Lighting absolutely does not take 5-10 seconds to settle a payment. Looking at payments from one of the largest custodial providers settlements are *way* faster than that most of the time.
Sure, if you’re sending from a shitty node that doesn’t have good pathfinding[1] then it can take a bunch of retries and a while, but, like, don’t do that? Cashu could take 5 seconds if you hit bad Tor relays, but, again, like, don’t do that 🤷♂️.
